This article says the Obama Administration is reconsidering its support for wind energy (and, perhaps, solar). The officials say,
You may recall from this posting on November 8, that the value of a ton of CO2 had dropped to less than 5¢. So, it “only” has to rise 2,600 times for the wind power project to pay off. Not very likely.
I believe there are good reasons to believe that solar will eventually be success. Nuclear, especially the newer reactors, has huge potential. Wind still isn’t ready for prime time.
