Heavy snow surprised the South? I expect better from the Wall Street Journal…
Here is the headline on this blog Friday. The storm struck Sunday night and Monday:
Of course, more than 2,000 flights were cancelled and the area was crippled — but the weather was almost exactly as forecast. Unfortunately, the mayor of Atlanta, chose to blame the meteorologists rather than taking responsibility for inadequate snow clearing equipment:
Once the mayor said the storm “beat the meteorologists” the newspaper reporters ran with that rather than checking to see what was actually forecast.
