From the International Space Station

Here is a view of the International Space Station with some of the major cities marked for perspective.

Here is what I wanted to comment on, the fragility of our planet’s atmosphere. Look how thin the atmosphere is:

All life on earth is in the lowest layer of the atmosphere, which is called the troposphere. The clouds are in the troposphere which about the width of a fingernail when seen from this perspective. The atmosphere is fragile and must be preserved.

That is why smart environmentalism is vital to our world and the future of the human race.

  1. Mike,
I think your city selections are a bit off. Your MSP is more like MT (MSP is NE of DEN, NOT NW), while ICT and DFW would be more right of ABQ than they are. DFW would be SE of ABQ, too.

  2. Thanks for the comment, but the view is looking east, not west. You can tell by the snow-capped mountains in the foreground with Boulder-Denver-Colorado Springs just beyond.
