Here We Go!

Thunderstorms are just beginning to develop in northeast Arkansas (purple arrow).

That small storm is in the area where the atmosphere is rapidly destabilizing, which means it is becoming more conducive to strong thunderstorm development. I have outlined, in red, the area that I believe is that highest initial risk for strong thunderstorms.

  1. Hmmm… The atmosphere isn't at all unstable up in that part of Ark with MLCAPE < 100. I'd focus more south, and that's staying capped for now.
