Taken at 8:50pm. This was a spectacular evening in Wichita with a nearly full moon, thunderstorms illuminated to the south and another great sunset.
We have had .99″ of badly needed rain at the Smith House. When it gets a little darker, we may be able to see a really cool type of lightning known as “anvil crawlers.”
9:05pm. Occasional anvil crawlers visible.
The thunderstorms to the south. The clouds are high enough in the atmosphere that they appear bright white because they are still catching the sun’s light.
Outside my back door a few minutes ago.
Stan Finger’s blog has spectacular photos of an amazing sunset in southwest Kansas last week. Click on the link. You won’t be sorry.
